Plant Scientist/Plant Microbe Interactions

MicroGen Biotech seeks to hire a Plant Scientist with training and relevant experiences in plant microbe interactions to be part of a team to develop microbe-based products that enhance plant growth and performance, with primary focus on root-microbe interactions. 

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. and 1-5 yrs of post-doctoral experience, including in studies of plant pathology/plant-microbe symbiosis or plant microbiome sciences. Experience in the use and/or development of genomic and biochemical databases will be a plus. She/he will develop strategies to select and identify genetic, molecular, biochemical markers, and/or physiological responses that indicate progress toward specific targets. The incumbent will focus on plant responses and will work with members of a team that with specialties in bioinformatics, microbiology and agronomy that together lead to novel products that ensure production of sustainably produced crops and safe foods and soil health that benefit health and wellness of consumer.

Plant Scientist/Agronomist

MicroGen Biotech seeks to hire a Plant Scientist/Agronomist with experience in applying and/or innovating high efficiency screening assays for glasshouse and field studies. The incumbent will be part of a team to develop microbial solutions to enhance plant growth and performance.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Agronomy and 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a corporate environment. Experiences in design of whole-plant based assessment of plant performance, including in photosynthesis, growth and development, yield and other measurable parameters as needed. Ability to adapt and/or innovate to establish protocols to current and future goals of the company is essential. She/he will be a member of a team that includes specialists in bioinformatics, microbiology, plant biology/microbiomics, that will work together to develop products that meet the needs of the market for safe foods and soil health.
